Documentation of a work in progress. Monday through Friday, 9 to 5, I screen printed t-shirts for local businesses and schools. I often imagined the type of working class people that wear these shirts and what they would do while wearing them. My labor is activated by their labor. I’m especially interested in the situations these shirts may exist in that are unrelated to the organization they explicitly represent. For instance, what does a mechanic do before commuting to work? While commuting? After work? What is the life of a worker outside of work? Where will this shirt end up in a few years? Goodwill? The dump?
